E4

Having never made a 3d animation before or anything 3d in Cinema 4D, i thought a 10 second E4 stinger was a good opportunity to experiment and develop my skills.

The E4 logo was downloaded from the website, then using adobe illustrator i cut out the outline and inside.

To make the logo 3d i used extruding nurbs then ajusted the width.

E4 stingers

At the moment we're doing a live brief for the Estings competition.
We have to produce a suitable 10 second E4 stinger for none other than E4.
Here are some examples of one's already out there.

First cut out animation

This is the first animation i made using Cinema 4D.

It was for the project 'X,Y,Z'.

X=Xantus, Y=Yellowthroat, Z=Zebra.

The background and characters were made out of different materials and textures.

I edited my background music in garage band which i used for the first time.

Voice recording and sound effects were edited in final cut.

Concept 2

Second idea for E4 stinger.

An empty roller coaster goes down the track then goes underwater and comes out with a turtle in the front seat.

As it goes through the loop the turtle falls to the ground landing on it's back then E4 logo's pop out it's eyes.

Concept 1

This was my first idea for the E4 stinger project.

The turtle rides the roller coaster around the E4 logo loses control and flies out, then lands on its back with E4 logo's popping out it's eyes.

E4 Character

This is my character for the E4 stinger project.

He's a cool turtle who rides a roller coaster then falls out and has E4 logo's popping out his eyes.

Background Test

This is the background i used in my 'xyz' animation.

I wanted it to be made up of many layers and textures.

This is a test one i tried in photoshop to make sure all the pieces fit into place before i layered it all up in cinema 4d.

To create the textures i scanned in pieces of material that i thought would work well together.

I also bitmaped some pieces to create different textures.
