4 Mask

This was a quick 4 mask i created in one of my CAD lessons. The process was alot easier than i thought it would be and i'm pleased with how it turned out however i would change the way the pieces come together so they move around the screen more.

Recycle - adobe after effects animation

Dinky walk cycle

This is the first walk cycle i created of Dinky. I am pleased with how it turned out with it being the first time i had ever used the programme after effects. There are a few things that i need to change in order to make it run smoother and to get the timing right.

Pixilation test

This was a quick group task using Dragon Stop Motion.
As pixilation is stop motion with people being used as the puppets we went with a simple idea of a 'chair bus'.
We experimented with using different frame rates and worked well as a group bringing in different ideas throughout.

Noahs Ark

During reading week i decided to work on colouring up one of my illustrations i had drawn out for my recently born nephews room.
I drew all the line work on illustrator then took it into photoshop to colour up, sticking with soft pale colours that work well together.

Model sheets

These are my final model sheets for my character Dinky. I feel i have created a strong set that fit in well with my characters personality.

Pantones

For my pantones i decided to use the candy floss prop i had created as it fits in well with the theme and is a simple small design.

Model sheet background

Sticking to the same kinf of texture i experimented with i decided to try one where it was set of to the side instead of in the centre so it wasn't as busy with it having fewer lines. As the other one looked to flat i decided to use one with a slight texture but it seemed too heavy so i lowered the opacity to tone it down and look more faded.

Model sheet ideas

For my model sheets i wanted a background that was going to fit in with the theme carnival. The colours i instantly linked to the carnival were red and white. The first texture i experimented with looked to plain and the colours were to strong and heavy taking the focus off my character.
To find out what colours would work better with my character and would not clash i inverted the colours on my character, the colours that appeared to be the best contrast were purple.
I wanted the text to also fit in with the carnival theme so i looked up a range of carnival fonts and circus fonts and experimented with a few.
